Celebrating our Male Patients

November is Men’s Health Month and November 19 has been designated as the International Men’s Day. We’re using this opportunity to talk to our male patients about skin health, as well as ways to help you have a more youthful look.

Annual Skin Check

If you haven’t done so this year or at all, it’s time to schedule your annual skin exam. You’ll need a head-to-toe skin check. Your annual checkup includes checking any questionable growths and, if necessary, sending skin samples to the lab for further analysis. It may not be something you want to do, but it’s really important. After all, prevention and early detection are our best weapons against skin cancer.

Catching cancer early makes it much easier to deal with—medically and cosmetically. This is only part of your skin check. If you have skin tags, benign moles, or other spots you don’t like, this is a great opportunity to have us evaluate them and discuss what type of removal would be appropriate.

Look Great

  • Lose the Wrinkles: Now is a great time to rid your face of unwanted wrinkles. Botox is a great way to relax the muscles around the eyes, forehead and between the eyebrows. The result is a smoother, unwrinkled appearance. For deeper folds on the lower part of the face, we often recommend dermal filler treatment to fill in these areas.
  • Resurface your Skin: Chemical peels are a great option for removing outer layers and giving you a fresher look. We also offer several laser treatments that address a wide variety of issues, including removing dark/age spots, helping generate collagen, and more.
  • Skin Care Regimen: Many men don’t know what’s good for their skin. Their routine starts and ends with shaving cream and after-shave. No judgment on our part. We suggest you schedule an appointment and let us help you.
